My Story so far...

I was born in South Africa where I was raised by my very creative parents - my Dad being a successful shoe designer and my Mom who always found creative ways with many a craft project.

From an early age, one would often find me with a paint brush, pencil or needle in hand. My first career dreams were of being an astronaut. However, I quickly realised this was not my true calling or my talent where I excelled. Art, creating designs and working with my hands was my true passion and I decided to study textile design. After I graduated, I worked as an artist designing beautiful, delicate lingerie fabrics for high end street stores and took on other jobs such as painting murals and painting smaller wall decor.

I had always wanted to travel and I discovered there was a world beyond South Africa; I started travelling and made my new home in England. For the last several years I worked in retail as an assistant merchandiser monitoring/ forecasting sales and liaising with the buyers building the following seasons styles.

This is where it all starts getting exciting… I decided to envelop and dive deep into my passion...

I am now a full time artist, having been influenced by my lingerie designs and my passion for flowers of which I mainly paint. I love the delicacy of them but also their strength and beauty, their unusual forms and often very surprising colours. There is a beauty in them that is hard to explain but can be expressed through sharing that essence in my art.

As my new journey took way at the end of 2014, I was immediately accepted as a exhibiting member of the Reading Guild of Arts at the beginning of 2015.
